More fun than a barrel of monkeys

It has been difficult to get this little guy to hold still long enough for me to get the camera out lately. I figured maybe the monkey costume would slow him down. It worked for a few minutes, which turned out to be all I needed.

People other than my kids...

Every once in awhile I get the chance to take photos of someone other than my own children. Hopefully this is something that will happen more often as time goes on. This is my sister and 2 of her 3 kids. I can't get over how cooperative they are and I hope I can steal them sometime soon.

Practicing with natural light

I had cooperative little models for once, so I set them up in front of my living room window. I must say, I am quite pleased with the results and will definitely be trying this again.

Dress up fun

Kyanne suprisingly agreed to cooperate with me on this photoshoot. I needed an image for a magazine ad I was putting together for my digital design class I am taking. Pretty sure I need to rework the color versions of these though.

August Recap

The best of August. Lots of up close and personal shots, but my main goal was to work on focus.

The Begining

This is a sample of some of the first images I took upon purchasing my camera in July. Not terrible, but looking back now I can see flaws in them. I can't believe how much I have learned already.

Now up and running

I have been meaning to start this for awhile now, but haven't had the time until now. This blog is to basically record my progress in my quest to become a photographer.

About Me

My photo
I am a photographer specializing in on-location children's and family photography. I have 3 children of my own, and know the importance of capturing kids in their own element.
